UPCOMING EVENTS
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Join us on Saturday, December 24 for our annual Candle-lighting Service. Jesus called us “the light of the world”. We will light our candles as a symbol of the light believers are to bring to a darkened world. Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. We will have an abbreviated service on Christmas Day, Dec 25 beginning at 10:00. There will be no Sunday School or ROCK church that day.
There will be NO service on Wednesday, December 28.
Enjoy time with your families but remember the Reason for the Season!

A Big Thank You to everyone who helped minister at Providence Place last Wednesday night! Thank you to Joann Ruppert for helping Anna arrange the evening. We couldn’t have done it without all of those who attended! We were so blessed by the residents! More nursing home events to come in 2023. Stay tuned . . .
Women of Purpose Birthday Party
Our annual women’s birthday party is scheduled for Friday, January 13 at 6:00pm in the church fellowship room. Sign-up sheet is on the table in the upper foyer. Sign up and bring a friend!

Ministry Opportunities
Please see Pastor Jeff or Anna if you are interested in serving the Lord in a ministry at Dover Assembly!
Still Needed:
- Toddlers – during worship service Sunday mornings – we need one more ‘team of 2’
- Toddlers – during Wednesday evening church service – we could use 2 more volunteers
- R.O.C.K. Wednesdays – we could use 2 more volunteers.
- Meal Ministry – Diane heads up this ministry and could use a few more volunteers / this also includes funeral service meals
- Shut-ins – Murina heads up this ministry and if you are interested in visiting shut-ins, please see Anna
- Outdoor Signage – we could use one or two volunteers
Church Cookbook
Ladies! And Gents too! Get those recipes together! We are going to work on putting together a church cookbook with all your favorite recipes. Please turn them in to Anna. If you would like to be on the ‘cookbook committee’ please see Anna
New Life for Girls Christmas Blessing
Today is the last day for New Life for Girls donations! Thank you in advance! Deadline for drop-off is TODAY! There is a table in the downstairs foyer (not outside nursery).
Mailboxes
The mailboxes are up and ready for Christmas Cards! If you would like to leave a Christmas Card for church family, you can place them in the mailboxes. There is a numbered sheet listing all the members of our church. Please note that the numbers have changed slightly from last year. If you did not receive a box and would like to, please see Pastor Jeff. If we missed you or if we have an incorrect spelling of your name, our apologies. Please let Pastor or Anna know. There are the new offering envelopes in your mailbox slot. Be sure NOT to use this year’s envelopes for next year’s giving. The envelope numbers are not the same year to year.

Texting
We are continuing to expand the way we share information through texting. If you would like to receive periodic updates, weather cancellations, church information, encouraging quotes, etc. please fill out a blue card in the pew rack with your name and cell number with the word TEXT. Place it in the offering plate, or hand it to an usher and we will add you to our ever-growing list.
Snow Cancellations
Should we have the need to cancel any of our services due to inclement weather, we will put that information on our Facebook page, our website, and the local TV stations [WGAL-CH 8, CBS 21, ABC 27, FOX 43, CW 15] If you would like to sign up for a TEXT on your cell phone that will indicate the status of our services, please fill out the blue & white card with your name and cell phone number. Please be sure to place them in the offering plates as you leave and we will add you to our list.
